Your Chart of Accounts (from Accounting) is your specific set of Revenue, Expense, and Asset items listed by category. Revenue might be from Dues or Fines (or several others) while Expenses range from the administrative like Meeting Expenses to software, utilities, insurance etc.
You can review the default set of Accounts in Financial Setup on the Left Navigation then Chart of Accounts
We've provided a broad set of defaults, but click on the edit icon for any line item and you can change the name, description, parent, or type - or mark it inactive.
Accounts are organized by number following traditional Accounting methods for easy grouping and identification.
At the top, note that you can filter by specific types or Add Account to create a completely new line item or sub-line item
🔍 Viewing the Account Register
Look for the "Book" icon in the Actions column. Click it to see the transactions in that particular account. Choose a parent account for all sub-leafs - or just the sib-leaf itself. You can even export all transactions using the download icon in the upper right of any account register.
