πŸ“‹ Task List: Creating & Managing Tasks

Board members can create and manage tasks with due dates and owners

If you need to save a "to do" that can be tracked, shared, or updated in the context of Board operations, you can use Tasks - located on your left navigation panel.

The Task List is organized by the logged-in user's tasks at the top, and all tasks below. Each task list can be sorted and filtered independently.

See example tasks below

🌟 Create a New Task

To create a new task, click Create Task and a pop up will appear for you to add your details to.

Give your task a name and description, change owners (defaults to you as the user), categorize for easy filtering or sorting, and add the status (default is New) and any due date. You can add attachments as well if needed.

Note: Marking "Private" - any task marked private will only be visible to you as the user.

🌟 View Details of Existing

To view or edit the details of an existing Task, simply click the eyeball icon to the right of the status. Select the "Edit" pencil to add or edit details.

πŸ‘‰ Quick Status Edit

To quickly edit the status of a Task, simply click the existing status bubble and use the dropdown.

🌟 Add, Edit, Delete Statuses (Customize your Tasks)

Visit General Settings (Admins Only) in the lower left of the navigation. Scroll to "Management" and look for Task Statuses.

See below for a detailed view. "New" is locked and cannot be removed, but all other statuses are editable. Complete and Cancelled are both set to indicate the final stage of that task so tasks in that status will show as complete (not active) for purposes of any filters.

🌟 Advanced Editing

When you edit a task status, you can:

  • Change the color (by Hex, RGB, or by dragging the color selector)

  • Set the sort order in the list

  • Include that new status in the set of statuses considered "final"

πŸ‘‰ Note - there are two color selectors. The second one is the text color - how the text appears over the color of the bubble you selected.
