ACC/ARB: Project Types

Setting up or Editing Project Types in the ACC/ARB form

As you get started on Vlge, you will have a preset number of general project types already setup. You can delete, add, or edit any of these to fit your neighborhood or association.

Examples loaded by default:

  • Pool

  • Outdoor Kitchen

  • Driveway Add/Extend

  • Major Landscaping

  • Basketball Goals (temp or perm)

  • Casitas

  • Exterior Lighting

  • Other

Find the ACC/ARB Settings in General Settings then ACC/ARB Settings

Note the tabs along the top:

  • Use the delete or pencil icons on the right to edit or remove.

  • Use the "+Add Project Type" at the top right to add a new type.

These project types appear as your members begin their form. In order to make the process more efficient, you can set guidance up for these items by editing each one, or by adding details in the setup process for new ones.

Editing a Project Type

Click the pencil icon to open the editor for the project type "Pool" - see below.

Note the various options here such as display order (where it shows up in the list).

  • Project Type Name: What your members will see when selecting a project type

  • Display Order: Where it will show up in the dropdown list

  • Submission Guidance Text: Text that will automatically appear once a project type is selected. This should be a short blurb to call out any critical or frequently missed items

  • Topic Tags: When AI or search features index documents for your community, they will associate information with your tags. You can designate tags here that you have created (or were included by default). See TAGS Article for more on tags.

  • Linked Guidance Items: In ACC/ARB Settings, you can click the tab "Guidance Items" where you can add very specific guidance and guidelines for various topics. Each topic can apply to all areas, or an individual Project Type like "Pools" - in this example, as this project is "Pool" you can choose to link a guidance item (or multiple). These items will then appear for the submitter to review (optional but helpful) as they continue their submission. You do not have to link the item here. You can go to Guidance Items, create or edit an item there, and link from there as well.

Save your changes and you are all set!
