ACC/ARB Setup: Guidance Items

You can provide very specific guidance articles per project type

When a resident or member submits a project for review, it is often helpful to provide very specific project guidance that will make sure they are submitting everything they need for a speedy review. This can cut down on the back and forth which often frustrates both boards and residents.

Where to find Guidance Items

Step 1: Find General Settings in the lower left (Admins Only)

Step 2: Look for ACC/ARB Request Setup

Step 3: Select the Guidance Items box

You can edit an existing item OR create a new one.

Click the pencil icon to open and edit an item.

Note in the above example that the All Project Types is selected. If you uncheck that, you will see the full list of your communities project types and choose one or multiple to associate here. Add a CC&R reference if you choose to point your members to the exact place in your CC&Rs if applicable.

To change project types, or add new ones, see the Project Types tab in the ACC/ARB Setup.

Note: All of the guidance items that you have created for the community will appear here. Not all need to be associated with a Project Type. Guidance items are available in Community Home as well for everyone to read.
