✉️ Messaging: Automations & Templates

Use automations to send templates based on certain events

⭐️ First lets discuss what each of these topics means and how they fit together.

👉 Messaging Automation

This is the set of triggers that determine when an email is sent. These are either based on "events" like a status change or on a date or time schedule (3 days before xyz) etc.

👉 Email Template

This is the specific content that is sent. You can configure each template or add new ones.

👉 Automations Events

The events below are available as triggers to send your templates. A set of basic templates is provided, but you can add new ones as you wish.

‼️ Important: Account Delinquencies and automated messaging. Vlge has an advanced system for handling account based delinquencies due to dues or other specific charges being late. See Financial Dashboard -- Billing & Collections -- click on Delinquent Accounts to reach these Automation Settings.

👉 Automations based on rules

You may wish to send specific templates to users based on a date - and even with certain conditions such as balance not paid. For example, lets say you have a new resident move in to your community and that date is set as January 1. You can see a Move-In Welcome email to send on that day, and a Follow-Up 7 days later,

👉Configure the notification and channels (email or paper mail)

Vlge has created and populated several common triggers based on date. To use them, you will simply Create a Template, then Set Up the date-based trigger by configuring then and assigning that template.

Select your template and save the automation.

🌟 Important!

You must assign a template to an automation in order to use it. If you do not assign a template to send for the automation created, the system may use a default or basic template and you may not get the result you are hoping for.

Click Configure - then select the template that aligns with your automation (or go create a new one and then come back to select it.)
