VNN Moderation Dashboard Guide

Internal guide for using the VNN review and ad moderation dashboard.

This is internal documentation for Vlge team members.

Accessing the Dashboard

  1. Log in as Platform Owner

  2. Go to Platform → VNN → Moderation

Moderation Queues

Review Moderation

  • AI Flagged — Reviews flagged by AWS Comprehend (spam, offensive, etc.)

  • Low Star — Reviews below threshold (typically <3 stars)

  • Reported — Reviews reported by users

  • Pending — New reviews awaiting any review

Reply Moderation

  • AI Flagged — Vendor replies flagged for defensiveness/policy violations

  • Pending — New replies awaiting approval

Ad Moderation

  • Pending Approval — New ad creatives

  • Reported — Ads flagged by users

Moderation Actions

For Reviews:

  • Approve — Publish the review

  • Reject — Remove with reason

  • Request Edit — Ask user to revise

  • Flag for Legal — Escalate potential legal issues

For Vendor Replies:

  • Approve — Publish the reply

  • Reject — Remove with guidance to vendor

  • Request Revision — Provide feedback

Moderation Guidelines

Reject if:

  • Contains profanity or personal attacks

  • Clearly fake or incentivized

  • Reviews unrelated business/service

  • Contains spam or promotional content

  • Violates privacy (full names, addresses, etc.)

Approve even if:

  • Very negative but factual

  • Grammar/spelling issues

  • Vendor disagrees with rating

Dual-Level Moderation

VNN uses two levels of moderation:

  1. Platform Level — Vlge team handles safety, spam, global policy

  2. Local Level — HOA admins handle community-specific concerns

Platform decisions override local decisions for safety/legal reasons.

Audit Logging

All moderation actions are logged with:

  • Moderator ID

  • Timestamp

  • Action taken

  • Reason/notes
