Adding a Vendor to VNN

How residents can add new vendors to the community directory.

Help your neighbors by adding vendors you've worked with to the community directory.

Who Can Add Vendors

  • Any verified resident of your community can add vendors

  • You don't need to have reviewed them yet β€” you can add now and review later

How to Add a Vendor

  1. Go to Vendor Directory

  2. Click Add Vendor

  3. Search to see if the vendor already exists (to avoid duplicates)

  4. If not found, fill in the form:

    • Business Name (required)

    • Website (helps prevent duplicates)

    • Phone Number

    • Email Address

    • Categories (select 1-3 that apply)

  5. Click Submit

What Happens After Submission

  1. The vendor is added with "Pending" visibility

  2. Your HOA admin may review the submission

  3. Once approved, the vendor appears in the directory

  4. You can then add a review if you've worked with them

Avoiding Duplicates

Before adding, the system searches existing vendors by:

  • Website URL

  • Phone number

  • Business name (fuzzy matching)

If a match is found with >80% similarity, you'll be prompted to select the existing vendor instead.

Adding from ACC Requests

When submitting an ACC request, you may see a prompt:

"Add the vendor for this project to VNN?"

This is a convenient way to add vendors right when you're getting work done.

Tips

  • Include the website for easier verification

  • Select accurate categories so neighbors can find them

  • Only add legitimate businesses (no individuals or side jobs)
