Enabling VNN for Your Community

How HOA administrators can turn on Village Neighbor Network for their community.

As an HOA administrator, you control whether VNN is available in your community.

How to Enable VNN

  1. Go to Admin Area → General Settings

  2. Find Features

  3. Locate Vendor Directory (VNN)

  4. Toggle it ON

What Happens When VNN Is Enabled

  • A Vendor Directory link appears in the community navigation

  • Residents can browse, search, and add vendors

  • Residents can write reviews for vendors they've used

  • Advertising placements become available (if configured)

Granular Placement Controls

Beyond the main toggle, you can control specific placements:

  • Directory Listing — Show vendors in the main directory

  • ACC Email Footer — Include vendor ads in ACC notification emails

  • Violation Emails — Include vendor ads in violation notices

  • Newsletter Sponsorship — Allow vendors in community newsletters

  • Custom Placements — Create your own placement locations

Category Management

You can also control which vendor categories are visible in your community:

  1. Go to Admin Area → VNN Settings

  2. View the list of available categories

  3. Toggle categories on/off as appropriate for your community

  4. Adjust priority/ordering if desire
