Where budgets live
Financial Dashboard → Budgets, or Financial Setup → Budgets.
Build a budget
You can start from the budget builder or import a file.
Confirm the Chart of Accounts first so category names match.
Set dues-paying unit count, dues amount, and frequency if you use the builder.
Edit month by month, export CSV, and compare years.
Activate the budget you want reports to use.
Import a budget
Import Tools → Budgets & Actuals. Put account names in the first column and year columns after that. Magic import can detect multiple years in one file. Section headers such as REVENUE and EXPENSES help matching.
Reports (Budget vs Actuals) use your accounting basis. The budget itself is a plan; the books come from the general ledger.
