How to Vote in an Election

Open your unique ballot link, submit your vote, and save your receipt ID.

You vote on a unique ballot link — usually from email. Do not share that link. You do not need to find an election page in the community portal.

Open your ballot

  1. When voting opens, you get an email with a Cast Your Vote button (or a similar unique link). Check spam.

  2. Your community may also mail a letter with a QR code that opens the same ballot.

  3. Tap the link. You will see the election title, any instructions, and each ballot item.

Make your selections

  • Read each board seat, yes/no measure, or question.

  • Select your choice. You can change it before you submit.

  • Some items allow write-ins, abstain, or more than one selection — the ballot tells you how many to pick.

  • Open candidate statements or attachments if they are provided.

Submit and save your receipt

  1. Review your choices.

  2. Click Submit Vote (not “Submit Ballot”).

  3. You should see Vote Submitted! and Your Vote Receipt ID. Copy or photograph that ID.

  4. A confirmation email is sent to the address on the ballot when one is on file.

If you cannot vote

  • Already Voted — this link already recorded a vote.

  • Household Already Voted — your community counts one vote per property, and another owner already voted (or their vote is the one that counts).

  • The election has ended, or your start time has not arrived yet.

Did not get a ballot?

  • Check spam and confirm the email on your profile.

  • If the property is owned by a company or trust, only representatives marked as able to vote in elections receive a link.

  • Ask your association administrator to confirm you are on the voter roll and, if needed, reissue your ballot link.
